Currently, we are seeking a talented Derivatives Trarder to join the Company’s Investment Management Group. The Investment Management Group invests in a variety of fixed income instruments including investment-grade and high-yield corporate bonds and high quality residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS) to support our Life Insurance and Retirement Solutions business as well as to support the business of managing the assets of other companies.

Assists with the execution of the Company’s hedging program and will be responsible for the day-to-day implementation of our hedge strategies.

. Execution of interest rate, equity, or currency derivatives
. Pre-trade analysis and modeling
. Position reporting and ad-hoc risk analysis
. Monitoring of risk positions
. Reports to the Head of Derivatives Trading, and will work with internal clients as well as other members of the investment team

. MBA, CFA or equivalent preferred
. 6-8 years experience with capital markets pricing, trading dynamics, bond math, and derivatives valuation
. A background in derivatives trading, structuring, or similar function at a global bank or in a hedging role at an insurance company
. An understanding of variable annuity and/or indexed annuity products
. Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to “reality check” trade pricing
. Ability to communicate complex trading strategies in simple terms with internal clients and other members of the investment team.

DESCRIPTION: Assists in the completion of complex financial analyses and reports
Under general supervision, assists Division management in the completion of complex financial analyses and reports and performs special studies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization analyzes financial and statistical results, including revenues, expenditures and cargo volumes, both for internal and external reporting, and drafts reports explaining the performance; working independently, conducts complex special studies, drafts reports and makes recommendations; drafts reports for the Board of Harbor Commissioners; modifies and develops financial computer models to facilitate management decision-making; develops performance measures and other benchmarks; prepares terminal capacity estimates and long term cargo forecasts to assist in rate of return analyses; prepares project-specific benefit-cost analyses involving the valuation of transportation cost savings and their impacts on cargo diversion; develops near-term cargo forecasts to help forecast port revenues, cash flows and capital expenditures; drafts and manages the release of Request for Proposals; develops and implements procedures for improving organizational effectiveness; may supervise subordinate personnel; performs other duties as required.
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related field and four or more years of professional experience in financial analysis (proof required)*.
A Master’s degree in a related field is preferred and may be substituted for one year of the required experience (proof required)*.
Knowledge of principles, practices and methods of economic/financial analysis.
Ability to: effectively communicate both orally and in writing; independently research and analyze complex information and make recommendations; plan, organize, administer and coordinate research activities and evaluate results; including the preparation of reports; effectively operate personal computers and software applications such as Microsoft Office or other related software.
Experience offering specific and substantial preparation for the duties of the position may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
A valid motor vehicle operator’s license and a current DMV driving record must be submitted to the hiring department at time of selection interview.

Assist Management in the development of the annual budget, monthly financial reports, and generating ad hoc operations reports using Casino CAD, Acres, and MAS.  Provide statistical and analytical support to management.  Make recommendations to maximize revenues through machine placement, game conversions, and overall operations performance. 
Essential Functions:
·         Assist the Director of Finance in the development of the operational and capital budgets, monthly financial analysis and ad hoc analysis for operations departments. 
·         Provide analysis of revenue centers to management through the use of other operations systems and the MAS accounting system.
·         Provide statistical and analytical support in the development, implementation and evaluation of all operations departments programs.
·         Maximize revenues by providing Management with reports and analyses using the accounting system and other operations systems, which will be used to determine machine placement and relocation, game conversions and overall gaming performance.

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Access and other computer applications.
·         Must have well-rounded financial analysis and report writing skills.

·         Associate's degree in business administration or mathematics, or equivalent gaming industry experience.
·         5 years of analytical experience in the gaming industry, preferably in the slot and financial areas.
