Job Description
The Commercial Strategies Group of Wells Fargo is dedicated to enabling bankers to engage in strategic dialogue in order to use a consultative approach with customers and prospects.  The Senior Analyst position is an integral part of the Commercial Banking team.  Duties include: Conducting company and industry research to identify key drivers/challenges; Consulting with bankers to perform financial modeling and analysis that may include comparables, working capital, debt capacity, weighted average cost of capital and other capital structure considerations; Preparing presentation books that may include comparable analysis, identifying and defining company value drivers and industry trends, financial modeling and analysis; Positioning value-added application of Wells Fargo capabilities; Identifying cross sell opportunities.  Creative thinking, situational assessment and idea generation to prepare bankers for CEO-level dialogue; May serve as the Commercial Strategies contact for specific Commercial Banking offices.
Basic Qualifications
2+ years of professional work experience such as business, research, analytics, engineering, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Strong analytical skills, including thorough understanding of financial statement analysis, market research, and accounting. Ability to evaluate industry trends, understand market dynamics and develop a position. Self-motivated with a high level of initiative and accountability, attention to detail and a creative mindset. Demonstrated excellence in working effectively as an individual and as part of a team in a deadline-driven, highly focused, collaborative environment. Possesses a sense of personal accountability and urgency for achieving results. Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task. Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Power Point.
Preferred Skills
- 4+ years of experience in commercial banking, underwriting, accounting, corporate finance, financial services, or consulting.
- Bachelor s degree with an emphasis in finance, accounting, economics.
- MBA, CFA and/or CPA.
- Experience analyzing financial statements and assessing companies.
- Strong interest in financial markets and corporate finance with expertise in business and industry cycle analysis.
