BFSG strives to provide our clients with plan-related investment and fiduciary compliance solutions, while minimizing liability.  Our services include investment consulting, fiduciary compliance consulting, employee education / communication, and plan costs analysis. 

The firm seeks a highly motivated, investment-focused professional to grow our consulting team.   

JOB DESCRIPTION:  As a BFSG Retirement Plan Consultant you will be responsible for providing proactive retirement plan consulting services to our plan sponsor clients, with a strong emphasis in investment consulting.  The position also requires consulting in the areas of fiduciary compliance, cost assessment, and plan-related operations.      

Primary duties include:
§  Providing quarterly market updates and investment advice to a wide range of institutional clients regarding establishment of an investment policy statement, selection of mutual fund investment managers, and monitoring of investments in their plan
§  Working with the firm’s investment analysts in a team environment to enhance investment review strategies and reporting content
§  Assisting with asset allocation model creation
§  Maintaining up-to-date retirement plan industry knowledge to provide fiduciary compliance and plan operation consulting
§  Assessing fees and providing plan-related cost reduction solutions
§  Researching and resolving client issues
§  Maintaining retirement plan marketplace visibility through public speaking engagements, participating in professional societies, and collaborating to publish white papers on relevant industry topics
§  Assisting with all aspects of the client relationship to ensure issues are addressed professionally and in a timely manner

QUALIFICATIONS / DESIRED TRAITS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strong interest and demonstrated experience in investment consulting
  • Institutional retirement plan consulting experience preferred, though not required
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills
  • Customer service oriented
  • Proven ability to work independently and function effectively within a team environment
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Project management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Salesforce
Our office environment is fast-paced and demands teamwork.  Organizational and time management skills are critical for this position.
