Hedge Fund Research Analyst
  • Hedge Fund Monitoring and Reporting: Conduct ongoing monitoring of hedge fund investments including quarterly conference calls and preparing monitoring reports for clients and internal use. Hedge Fund Manager Research: Assist the research team in identifying, interviewing and evaluating direct hedge funds. Provide written meeting documentation and notes on hedge fund research meetings summarizing the thesis/next steps.
  • Business and Operational Review: Assist research team with operational due diligence and review/evaluation of hedge fund administrative procedures and business risks.
  • Hedge Fund Documentation Review: Familiarity with and ability to review and interpret hedge fund legal documentation (including financial statements, offering memorandum, etc.) and evaluate terms and conditions.
  • Investment Committee: Participate in and contribute to Investment Committee discussions.
Note: this position does not involve analysis of individual securities or companies.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must have a college degree, preferably in Finance/Economics. MBA, CPA, or CFA a plus, with 2-3 years of experience in hedge fund manager research. Strong verbal, writing, and quantitative analysis skills are required, as well as strong proficiency with Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Candidates invited to an interview will be asked to take a test evaluating cognitive ability, including verbal and quantitative skills and attention to detail.

Hedge Fund Accountant– (Newport Beach, CA)
Process monthly fund NAV calculations, daily monitoring of fund performance, assist with all the accounting, trade settlement and finance related day to day operations for the funds, assist with all management reporting including preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements. 3+ years experience in hedge fund operations (5+ years overall Accounting or Finance experience) , Required experience with FX & long/short products and NAV calculations
Minimum Bachelors’ Degree, preferably with an emphasis in Accounting/Finance
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and QuickBooks, Software system conversion experience preferred.

Team Lead, Corporate Actions – Los Angeles, CA
The Team Lead, Corporate Actions, will support the responsibilities assigned to the corporate actions team and assist the Middle Office Manager in providing oversight for day-to-day Corporate Actions tasks. The Team Lead role is a high impact, high risk position that monitors and executes capital changes across Fixed Income, Equity, and Global securities types, while also providing oversight on day-to-day team operations. This position performs a crucial role by monitoring time-sensitive notifications for Corporate Actions such as corporate reorganizations, acquisitions, stock splits, mergers, rights issues, puts, exchanges, tenders, etc. Perform QA (Quality Assurance) review of daily processed corporate actions, corporate actions notifications, and corporate actions logs for both Fixed Income and Equity products. Oversee the corporate action process from initial notification until custodian reconciliation
Responsible for monitoring all voluntary and mandatory corporate actions, including but not limited to exchanges, consents, tenders, puts, calls, stock splits, mergers, spin-offs, and conversions. Review, understand, and confirm; corporate action details with custodians and offering agents. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics ; 3-5 years performing Corporate Actions duties for a buy/sell side asset manager, plus 2 years leadership experience. Corporate Actions experience with Equity and Global Securities, knowledge of domestic and global fixed income and equity securities/instruments, Microsoft Excel and Word; Bloomberg experience is required.

Handling all day to day operations, client servicing, support, trading, etc. for 1/3 of the firm’s client accounts. The Investment Advisor Associate will be responsible for providing day to day administrative support to wealth advisors and high net worth investors. Serve as primary operational and administrative contact for high-net-worth and institutional clients; provide daily client service. The Business Reporting Associate will work on a team within the Client Service & Marketing Support department that is responsible for providing critical reports utilized by the department and senior management, as well as completing ad hoc project initiatives.
