Fund Accountant - West LA
The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day accounting for multiple Capital Market and Private Equity Funds. Major responsibilities include, reviewing the month-end closing workbooks prepared by the administrator, monitor and review all fund related expenses and accruals, addressing client requests, preparing valuations/pricing, statement of cash flows and IRR returns, reviewing management fee and incentive/carry fee calculations, reviewing financial statements, planning and executing capital calls and distributions, set up new funds and Separately Managed accounts, assist the administrator with proper posting of investment related activity, and work on ad-hoc and year-end projects.  The candidate will serve as a liaison between Accounting team, Portfolio teams, Custodians, Administrators, Auditors, and Third-party vendors. 5+ years of related experience in asset management/fund accounting, Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
 
Supervisor, Corporate Actions – Downtown Los Angeles
This position will support the responsibilities assigned to the corporate actions team and assist the Middle Office Manager in providing oversight for day-to-day Corporate Actions tasks. The Supervisor role is a high impact, high risk position that monitors and executes capital changes across Fixed Income, Equity, and Global securities types, while also providing oversight on day-to-day team operations. This position performs a crucial role by monitoring time-sensitive notifications for Corporate Actions such as corporate reorganizations, acquisitions, stock splits, mergers, rights issues, puts, exchanges, tenders, etc. The information is prepared for processing and communicated internally for review and instructions. This position is highly visible where the individual will interact daily with the Trading Desk, the Operations Teams, Information Technology, as well as other internal and external business partners.  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, 5+ years performing similar Corporate Actions duties for a buy/sell side asset manager, strong Corporate Actions experience with Equity and Global Securities, knowledge of domestic and global fixed income and equity securities/instruments, extensive knowledge of Corporate Action transaction processing in Accounting and/or Trading Systems, experience in a supervisory or management capacity performing similar duties with a buy-side asset manager, or equivalent sell-side experience is required.
 
Hedge Fund Research Analyst - Santa Monica, CAA consulting firm seeks a person to conduct direct hedge fund manager research and to work as part of our research team evaluating hedge fund opportunities for client portfolios. RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE :Hedge Fund Monitoring and Reporting: Conduct ongoing monitoring of hedge fund investments including quarterly conference calls and preparing monitoring reports for clients and internal use. Hedge Fund Manager Research: Assist the research team in identifying, interviewing and evaluating direct hedge funds. Provide written meeting documentation and notes on hedge fund research meetings summarizing the thesis/next steps. Private Markets Analyst - Santa Monica, CA
This role presents a unique opportunity to play a meaningful part in an expanding business, contribute to a developing portfolio, and have direct exposure to senior professionals.  The firm seeks a person to conduct private equity, private credit, venture capital, growth equity, real estate, real assets, infrastructure, energy, and/or distressed/turnaround manager research and to work as part of the research team to identify private market fund opportunities for client portfolios.  In addition, this person will support monitoring of existing managers and assist in projects related to private markets.  Responsibilities may include, but not be limited to:
Assist the research team in identifying, interviewing, evaluating, and conducting diligence on private markets funds.  Provide written documentation and notes on manager research meetings.  Conduct business and operational reviews of managers. Conduct ad-hoc projects as needed supporting private markets research efforts, which may include market studies, annual reviews, and other internal and/or client-related presentations.  Perform quantitative analysis on manager portfolios, client portfolios, and/or benchmarking of funds.  Monitor existing managers through regular conference calls and prepare monitoring reports for client and internal use.  Manage a database of funds related to private markets, including schedule of meetings and pipeline reports. Create materials for Investment Committees and other meetings. Interact and communicate with private equity firms, placement agents, investment bankers, entrepreneurs, CEOs, consultants, clients and prospective clients. Provide detailed review and analysis on potential investments, including track records, markets, financials and business plans.  Qualifications: Candidates must have a college degree and three years relevant experience.  Strong verbal, writing, and analytical skills are required, as well as a facility with Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.  Candidates must have an interest in investment research, strong communication skills, be able to work independently, and be able to interact with senior professionals.  Experience and knowledge of private markets.
 
Investment Performance Supervisor - West Los Angeles
The firm is searching for a qualified individual for the role of Investment Performance Supervisor.  The two primary responsibilities of this position would be 1) supervise the preparation of performance data, including the calculation of returns for investments, composites and benchmarks in order to complete periodic client reports and presentations, internal monitoring reports, and ad hoc requests from clients and consultants, 2) to assist with accounting, operations, and compliance of hedge fund of funds and separately managed accounts.  This person will have the opportunity to move into a more compliance-centric role after exhibiting the requisite qualifications in the performance reporting responsibilities above.  In addition, this person can expect to initiate and lead process improvement projects in various operational and reporting areas across the firm.  2-4 years big four auditing experience a plus, preferably with CPA.  Strong quantitative, analytical, communication skills are a must along with advanced computer skills and facility with spreadsheets (Excel), PowerPoint, Word.  Ability to work on multiple projects at one time with minimal supervision in an open, collegial environment is an important part of our culture.
 
Fund Administrator (Domestic) – Los Angeles
Individual will be responsible for supporting the team supervisor with the day-to-day activities of the Domestic function within the Fund Administration department. 
·         Responsible for the administration of portfolios, including daily cash reconciliation, custodian asset reconciliation, variance research, generation of client statements and performance calculation
·         Responsible for creation of accounting reports to meet custom reporting requests
·         Assist the team supervisor in reviewing approximately forty-five month-end statements and custodian asset reconciliations
Excellent quantitative and research skills and exhibits a strong interest in finance and accounting, strong accounting skills and understanding of complex fixed income investment products. The RFP Associate – Los Angeles
The RFP Associate reports to the Manager of the RFP Team and works closely with all members of the Client Service Department to create investment management proposals. . The optimal candidate must have excellent writing skills, intermediate knowledge of Excel (e.g., pivot tables, vlook up, user defined functions, etc), experience with Bloomberg. Development, preparation and oversight of customized responses to Request for Proposals (RFPs) from prospective and existing clients; questionnaires for consultants; special requests for clients; and regular and ad hoc reports for Client Service, Marketing and Consultant Executives from emanation to completion. Update and maintain Consultant Databases with product-specific and company information.
Prepare monthly and quarterly data files for departmental use (e.g., AUM by sector , client and account gain/loss, portfolio characteristics, etc).Use of Qvidian RFP software, Microsoft Word and Excel for document preparation, and various custom Firm software for other data. Investment Advisor needs Marketing Assistant/ Client Services Specialist to support a Sr. Marketing VP.  Exposure to all aspects of asset management. Responsible for client servicing, which involves: new account documents, account maintenance, preparation of marketing presentations. Additional duties include: phone coverage, correspondence, quarterly statements, database maintenance, travel arrangements, expenses reports, and calendar. The position is responsible for the coordination of account, investment and service related tasks for the assigned advisory team(s). Acts as a liaison between the advisory team and clients/internal departments to provide day to day support in responding to advisor and client inquiries and ensuring timely and accurate completion of operational/product activities.

Coordinates the new client process including: participating in meeting preparation, collection of client background information, providing and obtaining required account and investment strategy documentation, and operational coordination of account establishment and transfers.

Coordinates the asset allocation & reallocation process including, addressing necessary paperwork, account establishment, and investment implementation and/or changes with applicable department(s).  Two to five years’ experience in a similar role with an investment management firm and/or broker-dealer. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the financial services industry. FINRA Series 7 licensed preferred. Strong technical skills using the Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word and Outlook. Self-starter who takes initiative to identify and complete tasks.  Can handle multiple assignments and work in a fast-paced environment.  Ability to solve problems, anticipate needs and provide superior service.  High energy with ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.  Proven organizational skills and attention to detail.  Hours: 6:30am – 3:30pm. Edward Jones Advisory Solutions is a mutual fund and exchange-traded fund (ETF) program. Bridge Builder is an affiliated sub advised mutual fund family developed exclusively for use in Advisory Solutions.
