The San Bernardino County Employees’ Retirement Association (SBCERA) is
recruiting for an Investment Analyst to provide back office support and assistance
to the Chief Investment Officer in the investment of the San Bernardino County
Employees’ Retirement Association’s portfolio; and to perform investment related
duties as required.

The San Bernardino County Employees' Retirement Association (SBCERA) is a
California public pension plan that administers benefits and manages pension assets for
over 35,000 members and beneficiaries on behalf of 17 participating employers.

The Investment Analyst shall work in the Investments Department under the immediate
direction of the Chief Investment Officer. The Investment Analyst has the responsibility
to coordinate back office activity as well as participate in analytical duties related to
SBCERA’s investment programs.
Responsibilities of the Investment Analyst include, but are not limited to the following:
• Monitor account holdings and coordinate back office activity with all bank and
custodian relationships, as well as internal fiscal resources.
• Review and coordinate investment funding and distributions, verification of cash
flows, fees and expenses.
• Prepare and maintain investment contracts, amendments, and related
investment documents for adequacy and accuracy; confirm document completion
including but not limited to legally required information, signatures, and all other

counsel as well as other related legal issues under the direction of the lead
investment professional as applicable.
• Meet with potential investment managers to evaluate products and firms.

other related investment topics as directed by the Chief Investment Officer.
• Assist with analyzing Requests for Proposals and work under the direction of the
lead investment professional as applicable.
• Review investment committee agendas, materials, and official minutes for
accuracy and completeness; attend monthly Investment Committee and Board

Position is “at will” and serves at the pleasure of the Chief Executive Officer.

Experience: Three years of professional experience in a public agency or financial
institution involving investment analysis, economic analysis, custodial operations, trust
administration, actuarial analysis, investment reporting, or performance measurement.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, accounting, science, engineering,
business/public administration (with an emphasis in investments, economics, finance,
accounting or real estate) or a closely related field.
Note: Qualifying degrees or coursework must be completed at a college or university
accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department
of Education. Degrees or coursework completed outside the U.S. must be accompanied
with an evaluation report from a reputable credential evaluation service showing
equivalency to degrees or coursework completed at a college or university accredited by
any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education.

WORKING HOURS:  Typical working hours are Monday-Friday: 8:00am-5:00pm, with some evening and weekend work required.
